Health: The Ultimate Treasure
NoteWhat This Chapter Covers
“Health is wealth” is an old saying — but what is health, really? This chapter shows that being healthy is much more than not being sick: it is a balance of body, mind and social life. We explore the habits and surroundings that keep us well, learn to tell a symptom from a sign, and sort diseases into those that spread (communicable) and those that don’t (non-communicable). We follow how the body defends itself through immunity, how vaccines train that defence, how antibiotics fight bacteria — and why misusing them creates dangerous antibiotic resistance.
